The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a tornado Warning for...
Northeastern Chase County in east central Kansas...Until 945 PM.

At 857 PM, a confirmed tornado was located 7 miles southwest of
[axm ' eyr ixk = axs], or 9 miles northeast of Strong City, moving northeast at
30 mph.

A tornado has been confirmed by law enforcement. Flying debree has been observed on radar.

THE FOLLOWING IMPACTS ARE EXPECTED...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

In addition to a tornado...THIS STORM IS CAPABLE of producing large damaging hail up to baseball size.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern Chase County.

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
